The winner for the 2009 was a rare Double Darwin, says Wendy Northcutt of the Darwin Awards, and is awarded for a crime gone awry in Belgium. On December 25, 2009 a pair of would-be thieves hatched a plan to withdraw cash from a ATM machine by using dynamite. “They overestimated the quantity of dynamite needed for the explosion, " the citation notes dryly. “The blast demolished the building the bank was housed in.” Rescue workers rushed one bomb burglar to the hospital, where he died on arrival. They assumed the second got away until finding parts of his body in the rubble hours latter. No one else was in the building at the time of the blast. The second person nominated was Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano for the way she handled the botched Christmas Day airline bombing by immediately saying after flight 253 was secure that, “Mr. Abdulmutalliab acted alone and was not part of a larger plot.” The third Nomination goes to Barak Obama for appointing Janet Napolitano to be Homeland Security Secretary and for keeping Ms. Napolitano Homeland Security Secretary even after she made those statements on the three Sunday talk shows assisting that "the system worked!" Charlie Sheen's was arrest in Aspen, Colo., for allegedly placing a knife against wife Brooke Mueller's throat after he sat down for dinner. His wife told Sheen, “I have something to tell you.” Sheen said, “Don't bother me I watching a football game.” Brooke said, “I want a divorce!” Sheen said, “I can't hear you, my team is on the one yard line.” Brooke screemed “I want a divorce!” “You what?” “I want a divorce!” “You tell me this while I'm watching my football game on Christmas!” “I want a divorce!” It is reported that Sheen then took a knife and held it to Brooke's neck and said, “I sue you for the rest of you life if you divorce me!” Brooke said, “I rather have you kill me!” Sheen said, “Suing you would be more fun!” Brooke called 911 and had he husband locked up. Sheen posted $8,000 bond and was released. Threatening to have Brooked sued for the rest of her life isn't enough to break up their marriage. Seems they have decided reconciliation is the way to go. "Brooke and Charlie are very passionate about each other, they love each other and want to try and save their marriage," Mueller's attorney, Yale Galanter, told People magazine on Wednesday. "They had a bad night and want to get beyond it. CHICAGO-(AEAE)-AMOUNG THE NEW LAWSUITS TO BE FILED SHORTLY BY STOLLER WILL BE AGAINST TWO SITTING JUDGES FOR VIOLATING THE FIRST AMENDMENT AS APPLIED TO THE STATES U NDER THE FOURTEENTH AMENDMENT UNDER SECION 42 U.S.C. Section 1983. The readers who have been following this story are aware that Stoller has asserted that his right of freedom of speech and freedom of expression, as guaranteed by the first and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution were violated by two Judges in their individual and collective actions. As well known to these Judges/Defendants the “speech” for which Stoller was published was not and cannot be regulated or controlled by the Defendants. The doctrine of qualified immunity in this case doess not shield these public officials sued in their individual capacity from monetary damages for their conduct violated “clearly established” law of which a reasonable public officer would have known. They were well aware of the U.S. Supreme Court Case.Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union, 521 U.S. 844 (1997). The Reno was was a United States Supreme Court case, in which all nine Justices of the Court voted to strike down anti-indecency provisions of the Communications Decency Act (the CDA), finding they violated the freedom of speech provisions of the First Amendment. Two Justices concurred in part and dissented in part to the decision. This was the first major Supreme Court ruling regarding the regulation of materials distributed via Internet. CHICAGO-AEAE-THE AMERICANS FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF ATTORNEY ETHICS (AEAE) is releasing a study that will help legal male professionals make themselves “less” attractive to the onslaught of women who are looking for a middle aged recently divorced or widowed professional male. With the recent split of Tiger Woods and his wife, it is estimated that Tiger will have spent over $100,000 per night for the pleasure of being with his soon to be ex wife. Charles Sheen wife, Brooke who is now seeking a divorce according to a report will have cost Sheen over $50,000 per night that he spent with his soon to be x wife of the last 18 months according to one report. With many male professionals in there 40's, 50's and 60's who are becoming single through divorce or death of a spouse it is estimated that they are being taken off of the singles market at an alarming pace by the ever increasing population of agressive single females, within 60 to 90 days of their divorces or death of a previous female spouse. The sad fact remains that there are 5 to 10 times as many single females in their 40's,50's and 60's than there are men available for them. Many of the new single professionals are defenseless from this female assault and have turned to AEAE for advise on how to defend themselves in order to remain single longer. AEAE in it research has come up with three things a professional middle aged male can do in order to make himself “less” attractive to ever increasing aggressive females. Number one thing that females look for in a professional male is the type of cell phone he is using. Young women are more attracted to men who use “Blackberries” as opposed to a “simple” cell phone. If you have a Blackberry do not use it in public places. You must also carry a “decoy” basic cell phone. This will discourage aggressive females. Number two. Females look to the type of shoes the male is waring. Leather shoes are a dead give away that the legal professional is “ripe” for the picking. AEAE recommends to wear sandals. However AEAE cautions you that there are some young women about 15% who find professional males waring sandals to be attractive. The third thing that attracts young women to a professional male like flies to honey is the type of car that he drives. Expensive foreign cars are the kiss of death for the professional male. AEAE advises single middle aged professional males to keep their expensive foreign cars in their garages and if they must go out with a young woman take a cab. And if all else fails.
