They are lobbying furiously to weaken any real financial reforms at the federal level. They continue to blame the victims. They want you to believe that millions of scheming Americans took advantage of innocent mortgage lenders to purchase homes they knew they could not afford. That simply isn't true. In fact, an FBI study indicates 80 percent of mortgage fraud was committed by the lenders. A recent U.S. Senate investigation confirmed it. What Do You Have To Prove? There are two things you have to prove to be true in order to win a case of defamation of character in the court of law. First of all, you have to prove without a doubt that what was said or written about you is not true. Ask any lawyer who has just been sued several times if he can get malpractice insurance and what the rates are? Even if he "won" all of his cases against him.
Some people just don't understand the drill. After a while these guys will avoid the plaintiff like a plague, like a kid avoiding a "hot" stove.

Simply having a lawsuit filed against you by a little circus midget who never made a legitimate claim doesn't count.

The insurance companies (paticularly) legal-malpractice carriers, are sophisticated enough to know there are mentally ill runts out there-- and that would be you Fat Boy-- who abuse any chance they get. Obviously you guys are not real lawyers and do not go before "real" judges every day to hear the "real" lawyers crying to the judges, complaining that a certain party has sued them and their insurance policies have gone up or the insurance companies have dropped them. Secondly, you have obviously never sued any "real" attorney(s) and had their insurance carrier(s) drop them during the course of the litigation. Lastly, who do you know right now that has a docket that includes 30 parties who are "real" lawyer defendants? Only ARDC is currently suing more lawyers in Chicago than you know who.
