CHICAGO-(AEAE)-the hurrican Katrine that hit new orleans in 2005 was a natural disaster which killed thousands of people and destroyed New Orleans. Which is located in an un sustainable location, at the bottom of a bowl.
So who is to blame? No one! But the well informed people who continue to chose to live in New Orleans and to put their families at risk. The extremely, intellectually challenged New Orleans City Planners continue to defy the basic rules of City Planning 101. Namely, do not build a city on the Gulf Cost of the U.S. in the middle of Hurrican Alley.
Number 2, Do not build a city below sea level, these locations tend to flood often.
When questioned many years ago the original City Planner of New Orleans stated that he "could build a city any where in America that he chose, even on the top of a Volcano. But, because he could not find an active Volcano, he chose the site for New Orleans.
SIDEBAR: There has been a awful amount of publicity these five years after the Katrine disaster occurred, which has been initiated by the residents and City Planners of New Orleans attempting to blame the Army Corp of Engineers, as their scape goats.
