ELMWOOD PARK MALICIOUS PROSECUTION CASE APPEALED TO THE ILLINOIS SUPREME COURT

CHICAGO-(AEAE)-THE ILLINOIS APPELLATE COURT DENIED AN APPEAL WHICH ALLEDGED THAT A settlement agreement which disposed of a malicious prosecution case was coerced and the product of undue influence. The Illinois Supreme Court was asked to review that decision. The case was brought against Elmwood Park http://www.elmwoodpark.org/ Police, Peter Silvestri, the Mayor, Chief of Police and several Police officers. Currently a second multi million dollar malicious prosecution is being filed against the Elmwood Park Police, a divorce lawyer for causing a “second” false arrest on January 26, 2011, which lead to an acquittal on all charges on April 5, 2011 after a jury trial.

SIDEBAR: This divorce lawyer has been sued three times and four ARDC complaints have been filed. This lawyer loves to be sued. The divorce lawyer can no longer get legal malpractice insurance. To Prove Defamation Case?
What Do You Have To Prove? There are two things you have to prove to be true in order to win a case of defamation of character in the court of law. First of all, you have to prove without a doubt that what was said or written about you is not true. Once you have proved that the statement is, in fact, false you have to prove that the other person said the false statement with the intent of causing you some form of harm.
