CHICAGO-(AEAE)-U-S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has announced his retirement after 34 “fast” years. Stevens notified President Barack Obama in a letter to the White House Friday morning. His retirement will be effective one day after the Court rises for the summer recess this year.
