CHICAGO-(AEAE) THE AMERICANS FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF ATTORNEY ETHICS (AEAE) HAS AWARDED THE CHICAGO SEYFARTH SHAW ATTORNEY JORDON VICK A 1/2 star attorney qualification rating. AEAE attorney ratings are based upon complaints received against attorneys, public records, peer reviews and personal direct experience with an attorney. AEAE has been in the business of evaluating attorneys since 1974. A representative of AEAE in this case had direct personal experience with Jordon Vick, who wrote a letter to the AEAE representative claiming that her client Attorney Kent Bowersock who represents Nissan North American and had informed the AEAE representative that as the representative of Nissan North American he would accept service on behalf of the Nissan defendants who were recently sued in a DuPage County Lawsuit.

In direct response to Ms.Jordon Vick threatening letter, the AEAE representative wrote back to Ms. Jordon Vick "You statement in paragraph 4  "...I have repeatedly informed you that he never agreed to accept service for any of the Domestic or Foreign Nissan Defendants..."

How do you know this to be true? How do you know what evidence we have to support our claim that Bowersock did agreed to accept service for all of the Domestic or Foreign Nissan Defendants?  Do you know that I-phones can record conversations? Do you know what witnesses that we will produce that may have heard Mr. Bowersock make the damning statements, which you deny?

Rather than just litigate this case on the merits and the law as the old Seyfarth Shaw attorneys would have done you and your minions risk your entire profession on a non issue. If you were my daughter, I would have advised you "just accept service on behalf of all of the Domestic and Foreign Nissan Defendants" and get on with the case.

But your from a generation which is quick to throw your law license out of the window and go down aiding and abetting an (alleged)  deceitful liar.

I am compelled, reluctantly, to put you on notice that unless you retract your correspondence of December 21, 2017 and accept service on behalf of all of the Domestic and Foreign Nissan Defendants, as Mr. Bowersock said he would, I will be compelled to refer you to the ARDC , which will become a permanent stain on your career.

You father may or may not be a lawyer, but if he knew the facts of this case he would advise you to merely act like the old time Seyfarth Shaw lawyers who litigated on the facts and the law of case and not engage in aiding and abetting your  client. What ever Nissan is paying your firm for this case it is not worth for you to take the current path you are taking.

Please advise by 12:00 Friday December 21, 2017 that you have taken the necessary appropriate actions to  purge yourself and your law firm of any suggestion of professional misconduct and retract the  misrepresentations contained in your letter of December 21, 2017 and accept service on behalf of all of the Nissan Defendants as Mr. Bowersock said he would."

Seyfarth Shaw Partner Jordon Vick failed to take any remedial action on December 21st, 2017.
Jordon Vick could not be reached for comment.

LEGAL DISCLOSURE: Jordon Vick and her partners are not charged with any professional misconduct, malfeasance, unlawful conduct  here and are considered Innocent of any charges of professional misconduct until proven guilty by a court of law. Other peer rating associations rate Jordon Vick and her partners as very highly qualified attorneys.  AEAE has a slightly different opinion and bases its first amendment and constitutional right to express its opinion and to  issue ratings to attorneys, in the same way that AVVO rates attorneys.      To Prove Defamation Case?
What Do You Have To Prove? There are two things you have to prove to be true in order to win a case of defamation of character in the court of law. First of all, you have to prove without a doubt that what was said or written about you is not true. Once you have proved that the statement is, in fact, false you have to prove that the other person said the false statement with the intent of causing you some form of harm.
The Fair Reporting Privilege is a defense to any claim of Defamation

The Fair Report Privilege applies to the information contained on this web site.

“[T]he fair report privilege has two requirements: (1) the report must be of an official proceeding; and (2) the report must be complete and accurate or a fair abridgment of the official proceeding. [Citation.] *** For a publication to be considered a fair abridgment, the report must convey to readers a substantially correct account of the official proceedings. [Citation.] A reporter is not privileged to make additions of his own that would convey a defamatory impression or to indict expressly or by innuendo the veracity or integrity of any of the parties. [Citation.] Finally, it is the accuracy of the summary, not the truth or falsity of the information being summarized, that is the benchmark of the privilege. [Citation.]” (Internal quotation marks omitted.) Eubanks, 397 Ill. App. 3d at 749 (citing Solaia Technology, LLC v. Specialty Publishing Co., 221 Ill. 2d 558, 588-90 (2006)). ¶ 30
