CHICAGO-(AEAE)-CONSUMERS'S USE OF THEIR COMPUTERS ON LINE HAS BECOME THE GREATEST SOURCE OF LIABILITY FOR THE USERS. The Internet has brought computer users the greatest opportunities to earn money, create knowledge, explore the world and communicate with friends through social networking sites. However it is the deadliest contraption a human being has ever delt with. Now that law enforcement has found numerous ways to justify their existence in the Internet computer age. For example recently, a man was sentenced to 15 years in jail because he had “cookies “ on his computer evidencing that he visited child pornographic sites. Another user got 10 years for keying in threating comments about three Illinois Appeals Court Judges Easterbrook, Bauer and Postner. Yet another Internet computer user is in jail tonight because he left comments on a social networking site about an Illinois Mason County Prosecutor. The writer of this blog spend 37 days in the Cooking County Jail for articles he wrote on his blog. Now a single mother has just been hit with a 1.5 million dollar fine for down loading music files with her computer off the Internet. Price Tag For Illegal Download: $1.5 Million The jury upheld the fine after the single mom illegally downloaded the music. She contends, 'Any amount that I pay to them is money that I could use to feed my children.'

What Do You Have To Prove? There are two things you have to prove to be true in order to win a case of defamation of character in the court of law. First of all, you have to prove without a doubt that what was said or written about you is not true.
