The Chicago law firm of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit along with their client Reliable Management Realty Ltd, Donald Fumo have been charged with Mail fraud in a complaint filed with the Illinois Attorney General's Office (See attached)

CHICAGO (AEAE) A complaint was filed with the Illinois Attorney General Office today alleging that the Chicago lawfirm of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbitz (KSN) aided and abetted their client, Oak Park, Illinois based Reliable Management Realty Ltd, Donald Fumo engaged in "false billing" and "mail fraud" . (KSN partner Nicholas Mitchell photo above) .

What Do You Have To Prove? There are two things you have to prove to be true in order to win a case of defamation of character in the court of law. First of all, you have to prove without a doubt that what was said or written about you is not true. Once you have proved that the statement is, in fact, false you have to prove that the other person said the false statement with the intent of causing you some form of harm.

I am so saddened, yet so relieved to find this. I am a non-lawyer, pro se litigant and have been defending myself against this firm for over 2 years. I won an appeal, am back on remand in that case, but they came in a tried to file a separate action against me while the appeal was pending review. They intentionally omitted me as a defendant to try and usurp the First District Appellate Court and enshroud my existence before the Trial Court.
I will now be filing a Complaint with the Illinois Attorney General, as I am sure that they will find that nothing has changed with age, and the sky's the limit when dealing with this firm and their underhanded tactics.
To fully grasp the magnitude of my scenario, see Cook County (District 2) cases 2017M200000 and 2018M2000793. There isn't enough comment space here for me to tell the whole story, but I promise you, it won't be a dull read.

I just got a letter from KSN last week alleging that over $800 in association fees are overdue on the townhouse I shared with my ex-husband while caring for him as he battled cancer and dementia!! As I was PoA and took over paying the bills, I also made sure that the mortgage and association fees were paid every month. I personally paid at the management (Nemanich Consulting) office on Caton Farm Rd. and always got a receipt until they closed it to the public from the pandemic, when we had to use a drop box in front. I considered canceled checks to be my receipts. Since I read my bank statements, I'm well aware that my checks were cashed but called the bank anyway to confirm. Tomorrow I'm picking up a printout of the cashed checks that were allegedly "missing" and forwarding all correspondence to my attorney.
On top of it, since I inherited the townhouse and the trust deed with my name was filed over 3 weeks before the date on KSN's letter, the "Living Trust" my ex had and to which KSN ascribes the delinquency is no more as he passed away in September and the Will was filed in October. No "due diligence" here! You would think they would have found that looking through the records! This firm is a joke. Anyone else thinking of taking these clowns to court? The mail fraud angle is really interesting to me as this seems to be exactly what I'm dealing with.

I’m in indiana same stuff you all have gone thru they are doing land grab here too . Did you report this to FBI? They do senior fraud cases to protect seniors! Did you write AND call every govt agency ? Don’t give in to thier scare tactics intimidation ! There’s many people in casa de Prado condos in indiana going thru this same as well as prop mgt co that doesnot record payments they put someplace or return money to owners saying they didn’t pay HoA fees ! Especially pd months in advance! I am also a victim of my association and this law firm. It started in 2019 association said i oew payment from 2018 -2020 I went to court with proof of all payments from the time I bought the condo through 2021 when ksn dismissed the case BUT the association is still to this day trying to charge me for the fees. NOW here we go again association sent me notice for collections fees and once again I sent proof of all my payments here is the kicker I'm paid through June 2024 and ksn charged me a fee $132.50 tract book search because I asked what payment they think is missing after I sent copies of my cancel check the association said they are going to place a lien on my property. I wish I can share these emails from the association and Ksn. add me to the legal action list I have proof of emails from 2019 - Present
